How to find SAPI 6.1
I had to do a reinstall of my grandpa's computer, and I got a chance to look at the Office 2003 setup. Here's what you do to get SAPI 6.1:
Accept the Agreement
Click on Custom Install
Click on Choose advanced customization of applications
Go to Office Tools -> Office Shared Features -> Alternative User Input -> Speech
Or
Microsoft Office -> Office Shared Features -> Alternative User Input -> Speech [thanks to buurin]

You can also go open Word (or any other office app) and select speech from the "Tools" menu. It will then install it.

an then "access vialation at adress 004b5b47 in module "navivoice.exe". read of adress 0000000000.

Install it from Word. Look under the Tools menu.

My Install
this is the prob
i am using teh german version of office. The one i think they translated from tools is "Extras"(on the right from "format")
there is an option "Language/speech" but underneath this option i only can find: "choose language", "translate", "thesaurus" and "transcription"(i´m not sure about the right translation of the last two)
i dont see any way to install the sapi from there

Find a friend who has an english version then? This is in Office 2003 Pro BTW.

i do use the pro version, hmm, i´ll have to find someone in germany with eng version then
