Really love the look of this app! Been out of the car pc scene for a number of months and to come back to this is fantastic!

    Hats off to you!

Sorry for rambling, just had to say

I'm really willing to pay for a front end this good looking and functional, but only if it offers Aus maps - that's what's made me hold fire on swapping to windows and buying streetdeck, along with the fact that it requires proprietary bluetooth hardware and so on.

If you offered a package (with OBDII, Bluetooth phone functionality and moddability) with Aus maps for a reasonable price - say less than 250 euros - I'd definitely get it - end of story

If volume in the aus market is a problem (mac+car here is probably a rarity) and this price seems unattainable then perhaps we can work something out.

I'm just about to finish installation of my mac mini and screen, and will be looking at OBDII/GPS receivers next so I'd love the opportunity to try your front end out and hopefully base my purchases around compatibility with it.

Good to know that Sensis' monopoly is finally rolling off.

I said Mac like, not mac look people. Learn to read. Apple is all about simplicity and that is what the GUI is. There is not fluff and unnecessary garbage and that makes it very mac like.

Don't just on a compliment before you read it. Mac like isn't aqua. People try to make aqua apps and they look terrible. The only good aqua apps are those made in Cocoa.

So any updates? I'm soooo anxious . Will we have some good updates on the 15th? Also it would be nice to see some sort of a price breakdown and such or at least see what you guys are planning to do.

lol You have no idea what you're talking about, do you? I love when people throw out all the developer terms like Aqua, Cocoa, Carbon, etc, without having a clue what they actually are. Thanks for the laugh!

Aqua - What I drink when I'm thirsty
Cocoa - When I drink when I'm cold and thirsty
Carbon - What I use when I need to make a copy of something
Java - What I drink when I wake up in the Morning
Ascii - What I will kiss to get AMP (aka Kindling) released

in both cases, there will be an option of using customer's own Mac mini. I should have more details shortly, but will talk to the moderators first.

    And again some progress...

    - Setup support for multi-instance modules (i.e. weather)
    - Customizable color schemes, also applied to icons
    - Text entry for both rotary control and touch screen (see the attached image)
    - Phidgets connector module
    - Car monitoring (for phidgets connector) - temperatures, voltage, current, door, lights etc.

A new test release should be available in the beginning of the week.

And one more fresh from the lab - thanks to excellent support we got, QCar now supports the 3DConnexion's Space Navigator.
