    A couple of attenuated speed rr variables questions...

    So I've read up on the attspeed thread and have an idea of how to set up that feature.

    I do have two questions.

    What is the purpose of this variable?

    speedattmute=true (Toggles manual mute auto)

    Not really clear what that is supposed to do?

    and this variable

    speedattvola=10

    Does this mean that as you decrease your speed, it will continue to reduce volume to 10 provided you stay within the range of speedattspeeda and speedattspeedb?

    I got this from the att speed thread:

    speedatt=true (When you want to use auto volume)
    speedattmute=true (Toggles manual mute auto)
    speedattunit=mph (set this for miles or kilometers)
    speedattgrad=40 ( ? Guino maid know)
    speedattvola=10 (The start volume level)
    speedattvolb=25 (The max volume level)
    speedattspeeda=0 (When to start auto volume, at 0 Mph)
    speedattspeedb=75 (When to stop auto volume, at 75 Mph)
    speedattmode=line (Linear I think)
    speedattvolzero=70 (? Guin maid know)
    speedattvolgainat50mph=5 (Raises the volume 5% at 50Mph)
    speedattmaxstep=10 (Increments between min and max volume)

    speedatt=true (When you want to use auto volume) -- GLOBAL ON/OFF switch
    speedattmute=true (Toggles manual mute auto) -- TOGGLES 3 mode mute: Normal --> Muted --> No Autovolume --> Normal
    speedattunit=mph (set this for miles or kilometers)
    speedattgrad=40 -- OBSOLETE (not used)
    speedattvola=10 (The start volume level) -- Line mode bottom volume
    speedattvolb=25 (The max volume level) -- Line mode upper volume
    speedattspeeda=0 (When to start auto volume, at 0 Mph) -- Line mode bottom speed
    speedattspeedb=75 (When to stop auto volume, at 75 Mph) -- Line upper speed
    speedattmode=line (Linear I think) -- line, curve or gain
    speedattvolzero=70 (Curve mode volume at zero speed) -- for curve mode
    speedattvolgainat50mph=5 (Raises the volume 5% at 50Mph) -- for gain mode
    speedattmaxstep=10 (Increments between min and max volume) -- for all modes

    speedattvola is like the lowest volume increase at speedattspeeda ... if you increase it, you should expect an immediate increase of volume at that speed, then a linear increase of volume up to speedattspeedb (at a maximun of attspeedvolb). Just thinking of this stuff gives me a headache.. there are way too many options.. I think we should come up with a test/setup feature.

    It's nice to have options. It's the thing that makes RR so fun to work with.

    As far as feature setup goes, I'm currently working on incorporating it for things not so easily accessible, or even available, through rrconfig. Things like attspeed and igauto. When it comes down to it, there's enough info in these forums for skinners to incorporate an RR setup feature into their skins.

    Here's my progess so far

    Thanks for the splaination.

    Exactly what I have started to do. I have 2 skins presently that control all of the iGuidance options, as well as the SPEEDATT commands. Configure it all through the skin, and its saved to the rr.ini file.

    As soon as I can finish my other proj's, I can continue on my RRconfig that has 'ALL' avil settings.

    In that case, you'll be updating your rrconfig just as often as guino will be updating rr.

    LOL! Hope you have your scheduled cleared by then.

    sorry Guino, but you dont use speedattunit anymore - "Isunits" is used instead (this was changed since latest official release without any remark...)

    ever tried "curve"? i've tried it and it doesnt work. i've entered the calculation formula (= ((100 - A1) * -1) * A2 ^ ((A2 * -1) / 1) + 100) in excel and it seems like its totaly crap...

    Looks like this part of RR is only for me an essential feature...

    Yes, when this was first put in it had some bugs(curve), and the member that added it did say that he was going to fix it but that just never panned out..

    I was kinda thinking about trying to fix it...one proj at at time...

    Still working on my Config..

    here is my implementation of the curve mode:

    ((((Speed+Factor2)^ (Factor1)) /((MaxSpeed+Factor2)^ (Factor1)) * 100) + StartSpeed)

    - Factor1 manipulates the rise of the curve, Factor2 moves it
