Hey John, did you happen to document the procedures you've taken to resolve it?
I agree with you for the most part -- there is definitely something about RoadRunner that doesn't handle the Flash applets / skin files properly. But until a solution is proposed, can you help us out with a temporary fix?
Here's one thing that drives me nuts:
Freedom 2.1 works pretty well with Flash 8; except for showing PNGs and the ability to change the colors in the skin on the fly, it's flawless. That was good enough for me.
Now, I installed Flash 9 to test drive Freedom Ultimate in my car (basically it doesn't work with 8), and it was working OK -- just a bit too buggy to use as the main front-end skin for now. So I switched back to v2.1, and whatdayaknow, the intro screen itself (where the little light beam runs across from left to right) would work at the speed of one-frame-per-second! Needless to say my CPU was 100% use. I'm sure switching back to Flash 8 would resolve most of those issues again, but there has got to be another fix out there!
Please, help find it.
