    RoadRunner.exe Disappears

Hi, this is my first post here. I'm trying to explore my way. I downloaded RR verion 7/10/2005. When I run the update everythin goes OK until the update is installed, then the RoadRunner.exe file disappears, i.e. it's not in the program folder. Any suggestions?

If you are having trouble with the self install, download the Roadrunner Binary at:- http://www.kompassist.co.uk/
Unpack it to C:/Program Files/Roadrunner, and run RRConfig to insert your directory paths to Music, Video etc. Also don't forget to install Winamp, and if required your GPS application of choice.

Disable your antivirus as you update - some AVs delete the roadrunner.exe binary thinking it is a virus due to the compression software used when compiling, I believe this has been resolved with the latest version but I haven't upgraded yet so not 100% sure on that.

Thank you both for the quick reponse.

@Gobby, I have NOD32 and gives me warning of a virus, and I ignore it. However, maybe it still does smothing to the file. I'll see if I can disable the antivirus.

@Wizz, Thanks for the hint and explanation. I'm goin to try it if diabling the AV does not help.

You'll see a similar (or the same) issue in the main installer updater thread here. Starting around post #99. Basically the "Advanced Huristics Detection" was killing/deleting RoadRunner.exe INSIDE the Zip Binary archive before even extracting or if using the Installer, as soon as it's installed it's deleted. If that's the case just disable Advanced Huristics Detection. One guy had the issues coming from NOD and ZoneAlarm's Security Suite, both at the same time.. lol Good Luck.
