Mac Mini Apple Remote Issues with WinAmp

I have an Intel Mac Mini running the latest Boot Camp beta which (finally) allows the Apple Remote to function inw Windows BUT I can only control the volume when using RoadRunner (LSX Void 2.0). The remote (Pause, Play, Previous, Next) will control Windows Media Center and iTunes but they have to be loaded and the active window.

Anyone know a way to get the Apple (Front Row) Remote to fully control WinAmp when using RoadRunner?

BTW - Although this has nothing to do with the functionality issues above, I am currently controlling the Mac Mini volume via my steering wheel controls on my 2006 Scion XB using a Pac SWI-X controller. It fully learned the Apple Remote IR signals so if anyone needs to know if the Pac SWI-X is compatible with the Mac Mini I have tested it and it is.

In case anyone needed the solution to my problem its rather simple (a year later I learn this), turn on global hotkeys in the WinAmp preferences, your WIndows XP Mac Mini with Bootcamp drivers installed for Apple Remote will control Winamp fully. I have my Scion setup with a SWI-X box and the steering wheel controls work fine with the Mac Mini for Volume, Next/Prev track and play/pause.
