Blank screen after a few sec of video

I am using WMC and it plays the video but i get a black screen after the video plays for a few sec when i move the mouse the video returns. The sound continues the whole time. It must be some setting i missed somewhere any suggestions?

    Godspeed,

    ~Peter

Do you have global transitions enabled in your RR config?
If the answer is yes then that is your problem, you need to disable the feature in the ini and add the transition effects to each individual .skin file instead but dont add a transition to you video .skin or dvd .skin.

Take a look at my posts in this thread for more info and the command to add to the .skin files = DVD goes black

I knew about it but i didnt know to to fix it so i just disable transition all together. This is something that is been around for quite awhile since all i do in my car is watch music vid. i guess i should have brought it up.

@ tn6478, yes you remove the line Transition= from the RR.ini and if you still want transitions in your skin you need to go into each .skin file and add EFFECT= followed by the transition number of your choice, the upside to this is you can now set a different transition style to each screen instead of the same 1 for all screens that the global setting provides.

    @ Peter,i'm glad i could help.

ok folks..no need to disable the global transition in rr.ini.
just disable the "EFFECTOUT", in the video skin..This is what is causing the problem, not the "EFFECTIN"

just put this in the video skin
    /EFFECTOUT=-1
