New road runner will not show after loading

I have downloaded and installed the newest version of roadrunner and rrconfig on two systems. the first was running roadrunner previously, and the second is a brand new windows install. the older version of rr ran perfectly on the first system before i updated it but now i am experiencing the same problem on both.

the problem is that when i try to start RR the loading screen pops up and once RR loads it appears to minimize to the system tray and the system try tab for RR blinks a few times. when i right click on RR in the taskbar it shows that it is not minimized but nothing shows on screen. i have tryed all sorts of skins and settings to no avail.

another funny thing that happens is that if i hold the left mouse button down while dragging the cursor from the top of the screen downward upon release the initial winamp intro "winamp, it really whips the lamma......."" plays.

if anyone can help with my situation it would greatly applicate it

Older version of RR, like how old? And what skin are you trying to use? If you could list some other details, we can get to the bottom of your problem.

details such as:
1. winamp version
2. skin using

I would also highly recommend that you get the latest config, the one that comes with the rr install is no longer the latest version. see my sig for links to newest one.

Depending on which skin you are trying to use, you prob need to do two things, update to the new config, then run it and it will register the files that need to be. And set the 'sceeen fastmode' setting (general tab, page 2), to the 'gdi+' setting.

Try these suggestions and post the results

thanks a lot for your help it turns out that when i turned off the screen fast mode rr works like a charm

You must be missing the GDIpluswrapper.dll file in your rr root folder. As the GDI+ works all around, and for the most part the fastest option to use for the fastmode option.
