As far as I know.. just the DEI one for now.. I guess he picked the best "Interface-able" device which has all HD features.

in anycase, i can get a cable to ya and we can test

i have a USB/RS232 delima
would you pay $50 for USB, or $20 for rs232...

RS232 will be fine for now. let me know. He is going to pick up the Visteon regardless. I can work with my buddy for testing and I'll report back results.

You know how you get so frustrated with something that you want to toss the whole flippin' thing out the window after you've stomped it to little peices? Well, I'm there, and it's due to any Road Runner release since 9/7. It will not run for more then 1:06. I had this problem with the first 9/7 version, think it was 9/7/7. At that time I installed the newest version of RR and FX2.5. couldn't figure out what was causing the problem, went back to RR ver 7/7 and all was well. This week, with the release of 9/30/7 I decided to attempt it again. Same flippin' problem! I uninstalled, FX2.5, I uninstalled RR 9/7, deleted the RR directory, reinstalled RR 9/30/7 and FX2.5. 1:06 after I started RR it locked up. No touch screen, nothing. Only way to get it back up and running is to kill power and reboot windows (no keyboard). Winamp still plays after it crashes, I can hear the music. ALso if I go into hibernation, that works, but when I reboot all I get is the music playing and RR is just nothing but a blank screen.

I thought it might be Digital FX, so I used the BMV2 skin. Same thing, 1:06. I thought it might be Winamp so I started RR and did not play any music, same thing 1:06 and it locked up. That was after starting RR and never touching a thing, just let it sit there. All the while the CPU is at 3%. Spinning Honda logo and all stops, 1:06 later.

Where do I even begin? I've never had much problems with RR until now. In RR config I selected "Debug Enabled". I'm assuming this writes a file some where?

Oh, and it's not WinAmp. Start Winamp outside of RR and it plays just fine.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

@TimmyM - I experienced this very problem this evening. I think I found a link though. Whenever my POS GPS reciever would communicate with the pc, RR would lock up. When the pc booted and the GPS reciever wasn't communicating, no lockup.

I have an LT-20 HAD (Human Aggravation Device).

I also have another issue, which I think may be related, but RR goes blank after a couple minutes. Also no touchscreen, nothing...just a blank screen. Have to hold the power button in to force a power off and then power back up. Posted this issue about a page back and got no input, but I'm thinking it's related to the GPS as well.

btw - when GPS was communicating with the pc, iguidance worked perfect outside of RR. But when I went into RR even without opening the iguidance/gps window it froze. So I'm going to set the RR GPS port to 0 and see if that improves any.

May not be the problem since it's totally locking, but did you try setting localdatacaptureinterval=0 in rr.ini?

@nst6563. I have the BU-353 (think that's the model number) It's never been a problem in RR before. I'm just about to leave so I'll disconnect it all together and see what happens.

@barnyard. No, I didn't. It's set for whatever the default is in RR. This latest install I've set the bare miniums in RR Config, basicly just set the folder paths for video, music etc.

Be back in 30 mins.

Did you try renaming ZipLocator.dll so RR's internal Zip locater is used? Did you try turning off the localdatacaptureinterval=1 in rr.ini (change it to 0)? Did you try commenting out everything in the EXECTBL.INI that you don't use? Did you comment out the "X" plugins in the MENU.SKIN that you don't use?

The first two should help identify your issue, the next two simply conserve memory and CPU usage.
