    Ok, it's the GPS. I unplugged it, started RR, it ran for several minutes just fine, played some tunes, no problem. Plugged in the USB GPS cable, 1:06 frozen. Cut power, unplugged GPS started it again and RR ran just fine all the way home.

    After a couple of months doing nothinh with my carpc I decided to upgrade some things and one of them was RR. Unfortunately now I'm having the same problem as described above. Removing the GPS unit is not my ideal solution so I hope there is a fix for this. In the meantime I will try some things out to see if I can discover it.

    I was having very similar problems. Delete ziplocator.dll. This will force RR to use it's internal zip locator, and you should be good to go.

    I don't even have such file in my RR directory so I can't remove, should it be there by default?

    edit:
    changed localdatacaptureinterval=1 to localdatacaptureinterval=0 and problem seems to be solved.

    I'm having some problems with this version.

    I have manually updated to 30/9/07 from 11/4/07 (just copied the new files)

    The problems are:
    1)Winamp doesn't seem to work. I make a playlist but when I push PLAY nothing happens
    2)If I restart RR the playlist is gone!
    3)The TV skin doesn't work. I listen to the sound but there is no video frame. (I just see the background)
    4)The ADD ALL command for songs doesn't seem to work.

    Everything works fine when I go back to 11/4/07

    Any thoughts?

    The way I understand it is that RR has a built in locating function that gets your current City, State, Zip code, etc. from your current GPS coordinates. The ziplocator.dll is supposed to make it faster for some computers to search the zips.dat file. In my case the internal function works, while ziplocator.dll locks up RR.

    @partybuster:
    do you have a zips.dat file? If so, try downloading zipslocator.dll from http://www.kompassist.co.uk/ZipLocator.zip. Maybe it'll work for you.
    Good luck guys!
