and it works fine without RR?
I have the latest version on Road Runner and i have Iguidance v4. Road Runner runs great, but i turn iguidance on in road runner it works for couple minutes then the whole computer just locks up. I have no clue why this happens. I am also using xport. I am using Digital FX 2.0 skin if that matters.
Does RR lock up on itself ?
Also, by "locks up" do you mean:
1-it crashes (with an error message) ?
2-it freezes up (RR becomes unresponsive, but other windows applications stay working -- i.e. the winamp music continues to play)?
3-the computer freezes up completely, CTRL+ALT+DEL doesn't work, the music stops and/or you can't kill RR ?
Depending on your answer, this may have nothing to do with RR or Iguidance.

I'm having what appears to be very similar issue. In my case RR locks - no errors, winamp continues to play, ctl-alt-del to shut down the unresponsive RR. I'm also using IG4, latest RR and the DigitalFX 2.0 skin and xport. This post http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/rr-s...-released.html (it's a long one that I haven't made to through completely yet) led me to change the rr.ini line localdatacaptureinterval=1 to =0 that cures the lockup for me but of course it can't find the local data for city, lat - long for things like gas prices and such. I have a feeling the answer is in that monster thread but I haven't dug it out as of yet. Any help would be appreciated.

Wow, I posted this iGuidance 4 Crashing Computer?
a couple of days ago, but nobody responded. I have the same setup as KShoes. When I try to do just about anything in iG4 while in RR, the computer reboots automatically and when it get back into Windows a message appears that says that Windows has recovered from a serious error. I was having the random reboot issue periodically before upgrading from iG3 to iG4, but it's happening much more often since the upgrade. I know JohnWPB is using the same config as KShoes and I and I'm wondering if he's having the same problem. I'll try without localdatacapture and see what happens.
By the way, my earlier post says it also happens outside of RR as well. That may not be right. I'll double-check.
This is not a software issue -- it is either a bad DRIVER, bad memory, overheated/bad CPU or a bad motherboard. Software issues never cause the mouse/keyboard to stop working nor Blue Screens in the machine -- DRIVERS can do that, as well as hardware problems. The fact that you're getting the issue only when RR+IG4 are running is due to the increased memory and/or CPU load when running both applications at the same time.

fyi the localdatacaptureinterval option has nothing to do with gas prices... only the location labels (and reminders function you more than likely dont use). If you're having problems with the gas prices and have the option set to 0 (or just remove it altogether from rr.ini) then the problem lies elsewhere.
