Question RR not saving current playlist on exit

I have a strange problem with RR ever since upgrading to version 9-9-07 (I upgraded Winamp to 5.35 at the same time). I add a batch of tracks to the playlist, which works fine, and then put the PC into standby. When it resumes, RR has lost the new tracks I added, and just jumps to the end of its playlist, or this morning, it loaded a playlist I'd cleared about 2 days ago! These are on the fly playlists - not ones I've saved to a file, but it's never been a problem before. Clearing the RR playlist and starting again hasn't helped.

The question is...where should I be looking to solve this problem - RR or Winamp? The only RR settings I've changed recently are the ID3 tag display options, and the only setting I've changed in Winamp is to read ID3 tags on load, rather that on play.

    Thanks for any suggestions

    what's your hibernateaware= setting in RR ?

If you go into standby with ONLY WINAMP -- when you resume, does it keep the playlist as it should ?

Does closing RR and opening it again keep the on-the-fly-playlist ?

It's set to on - the "RR is aware of hibernate..." box is ticked in RR config.

I'll have to try this out. However, it did something different this evening - when I woke the PC the playlist was still there, and the main scrolling song title (BMV2 music screen) was correct, but the entry in the playlist was the path to the wma file, not the artist - title as it should of been, and the rest of the list entries were wrong. As soon as it moved on to the next song in the list, the titles in the playlist corrected themselves, but the scrolling song title was showing the wrong tag!! Very weird.

Does closing RR and opening it again keep the on-the-fly-playlist ?
It seems to vary, but this evening it was an "on the fly" playlist before I went to standby, and a "saved playlist" after I'd resumed (I hadn't saved anything myself).

    Thanks for your help

It gets weirder...! This morning I added a batch of about 40 tracks to the playlist. The first 6 went in OK, but the rest didn't appear. However, when I played the first of these 6 tracks, RR was displaying the title of the last track in the list I'd picked (which wasn't even appearing in the playlist)!

I tried to add the same tracks to the playlist again, and this time they all appeared...and so did the rest of the tracks I'd tried to add the first time!

    I'm very confused!

You might want to uninstall winamp, then install 5.13. If it works, you found the problem, if it still doesn't work...well look elsewhere.

That sounds reasonable; it worked fine before I put on RR 9-9-07 and Winamp 5.35.

Is it Winamp 5.33 I need for the new tag support?

The new tag support works on any version of winamp 2.9x and above.. you have to turn on the METADATA ON LOAD inside winamp for it to work though, otherwise, the standard tag support will be used.

Kind of a related problem that I'm still having: When I go into standby my roadrunner doesn't delete the songs in the playlist but rarely keeps the position of the song or the actual song it was playing. Occassionaly it will but most times when I come out of standby, the time of the song playing jumps to the end of the first song in the playlist and nothing is playing. Hope that made sense. Any ideas? I've been battling this for a while.

Using 2.95 and the september road runner. Skin doesn't matter. Thanks and sorry to thread-jack.
