    thats a great idea!

im not sure how that will work though if someone also has gestures enabled. Maybe by default the ilist window has a NG area? That may also interfere with normal gestures by decreasing the amount of screen space to do a gesture. Although the swipe IS cooler, im not sure ultimately how the two will play nicely together. Maybe if you click and hold any item in the list it will go back a directory?

What if there was a toolbar inside of the list (at the top) that was always visible and never moved? Or initially is invisible and fades in when you touch the ilist. And simply had a Back button on the top left and Browse button on the top right. Maybe a label in the middle that u could set the label code for. Skinners can easily manually add something like this to there skins, but would be more universal if it were included as apart of any directory list so no one misses out.
I think i may do this for my skin, but first want to hear what guino thinks about it being apart of the actual list. Dont want to do it then have to remove it later.

speaking of gestures, is there anyway to make the dot and the resulting gesture not look like mouse trails? And more the way it looks in streetdeck, as a solid line? I know im being picky, but it would look so much more nicer this way.

i agree, it would possibly interfere with gestures, but where there is a will, there is a way. and im sure gestures could be disabled in that given area.

ideally, flicking right or left would browse or go back, and clicking and holding would add whatever was held to the play list, or would execute a given command whihc the user could customize with each iList (i.e. execute a program on the LAUNCH screen, add songs to a playlist from a directory list, select a background image, etc.)

iLists are already NG areas as long as the IL definition comes before the S definition in the file (otherwise you can use NG manually) -- This provides an option to the user of using Gestures or not over ilist areas.

    Before eh?

I'll try that as I stuck a NG area in my test one after about the 8th time the music paused after I used the iList.
