I seem to have a problem with the ilist command after resuming from hibernation.
I can load a playlist and the ilist command works just fine. If I force the carpc to hibernate and then resume from hibernation, the playlist field is empty but the songs are still there(the list field is black), I mean that if you click on various positions on the playlist field, a different song will play. They just don't show up in the playlist area. I tried reloading the playlist but still nothing. The only way that the playlist will show is if I reload the skin or if I exit and then re-enter RR. I took a look at the winamp playlist window and the songs are still there. I'm experiencing this problem on both my home PC and my car PC.
I'm using ilist in text mode.
Did anyone experience this sort of problem ?
If you have a bit of free time (yeah right :p) here's a debug.txt of me trying to browse playlists.
I've been reworking the playlist .skin file since I first posted and cannot figure out why it's not browsing.
You're help would be greatly appreciated.
That's the error message I was getting for a while. It looked as though dx7vb.dll wasn't registered correctly--even though I'd registered it many times. You probably already registered it. (regsvr32 dx7vb.dll) I got it working by removing the VNC entry in the device manager video section and disabling the vnc video hook. It seems Ultra VNC wasn't playing nice. May or may not help you... and I'm not sure what the connection is.
same here tolis..i have posted that on the RR Bug Tracker section..

Sorry for the noob question...Can someone guide me to find out if I have the latest RR. I downloaded the installer and ran the updater. It says that I have version 9/30/07 and that it is up-to-date but we all know that the latest is 10/26/07.
@Dalailama: It might/might not help, but that is the exact error I was getting when I tried to open an iList screen through Remote Desktop. Remote Desktop doesn't support DirectX at all. It would seem that for some reason DX isn't loading correctly. I don't think its a problem with RR.
Are you physically sitting at the computer or are you logging in remotely somehow?
Also, you mentioned that you registerd dx7vb.dll. When you registered it did you get the "Registered Successfully" message?
@d0tech: The updater links haven't been updated it. You should download the latest version of RR from Guino's website, then unzip it over your current RR files. If you try the updater after that it will say that you have the 10/26 version and tell you that an update is available, but don't believe it, its lying to you. Just be happy with the unzipped version.
Tensai, probably you're right!!! I didn't think about it but I run RR on a virtual machine! probably it is the problem!!!
I hope that fixes it for you. Good luck!
What version of winamp should we be using? The newest?
Winamp 2.95 is the suggested version. Some people use the newest versions with no problems, other people aren't so lucky. Best case scenario you use the new version and it runs slightly slower than 2.95.
Or you could just use the suggested version.
