    ILists with Directory List

    I am having a hard time getting the ilist function to work with Directory Lists. I Have it working great with PLaylists but cant seem to get it to work with DL.

    Here is the codes I tried using.
    IL,DL,,,,0,20,50
    IL,DL,RGB000010,RGB00F000,************,0,20,70
    IL,DL,RGB101010,RGB0000F0,,0,200,60

    Im trying to get this to work in the picviewer skin and the audio browser skin.
    Works excellent in the audio_player.skin with the playlist.
    ANy help is appreciated...

    iList Header definitions and DL code

    Hehehe understandable, its a lot to figure out to begin with as I found out beta testing. Just to make sure, You still need an S in your skin to actually display the list.

    Also make sure that you have the new header lines in the skin, the images to display the icons and such for the list. It goes after the standard skin image definitions like this:

    Here are the lines from my AUdio_Browser.skin for comparison:

    i have been playing with the ilists as well, if you are in a screen that you had to have an SD definition in before, you still need that, but it must be above the IL definition.

    here is how i have my background screen set up:

    SD,"02","00",,,"$SKINPATH$BACKGROUNDS","*.jpg",
    IL,dl,unsel.bmp,sel.bmp,,0,50,60
    S,110,116,654,357,0,0,0,,,,0,0,0,0,0,0,,,,0,0,255, false,16,"Trajan Pro"

    i tried to take the SD out as i thought it wouldn't be needed, but then the ilist showed up, but it was empty, so i added the SD back in, but under the IL definition, and it just showed the regular directory list. the only way i've gotten it to work is by having the SD over the IL.

    Sorry, I forgot to mention this in the documentation. When using DirLists that you want to be iLists, you HAVE to set Disp mode to 3, like this:

    SD,00,03,32,32,"$SKINPATH$BACKGROUNDS","*.jpg"

    Then the SD/IL order does not matter (though having the SD definition BEFORE the IL definition will also work out).

    Ok cool, thanks guino.
    That was the problem. I had all else correct, just the disp mode was wrong. I did figure that out later on....

    the definition of the FOLDER/FILE icon does not work..
    i tried using gif,bmp but it does not work..any ideas why?

    Chatting with John1701 last night, he was having the exact same problem. I IM'd him the lines of code, directly from my skin (that the icons work on), as well as the bmp files I am using, and they did not show up on his system.

    He is running Vista, and did install the DirectX DLL. The list works to scroll, browse into and such, just the file/folder icons were not showing up for him for anything.

    BTW, he is using the latest version of RR from yesterday, and used notepad, not the skin editor to paste the llines into his skin, and not the editor. The lines were from my Audio_Browser, and thats what he was putting them into on his end.

    I know this is no help, but may help narrow it down.

    the weird part was i had to reg it in a cmd prompt, not the usual start, run line. its still not doing bmps, but i will work on it today and post it.

    Got It.. icons
    they do not work on TEXT MODE.
    they need to be BMP
    and they need to be defined as JohnWPB said in the 3d line.

    there are a couple of bugs in text mode i posted in the release thread
