Gps Stats Help

Could anyone help me with this impossible question? First of all, sorry my bad english...

QUESTION 1
I use a Sirf-III usb GPS, but I always need to do this steps to make it work under destinator:
1-start the Sirf-demo,
2-open the port
3-select syncronize protocol and baud

there is another solution? please make it simple!

QUESTION 2
I cant find how to make the GPS gauges work. yes, I try a port spliter, but even when I use only the gauges it don´t work (I am sure that destinator is off when I try it). I see under RR settings a place to select the GPS port, but I can´t find a place to set the baud rate. How can I configure that?

If you use GPS in SIRF mode RR will NOT be able to read it -- in which case you should leave the gpsport setting in RR unused/zeroed... Doesn't mean you can't use the GPS in sirf mode -- just means that any function in RR that uses GPS won't work unless you set it to NMEA mode -- if you do that, the baud settings are 4800 8,N,1 -- standard for NMEA GPS readings.

Now the gauges works, but I still have to configure the GPS settings under sirfdemo every time that I start the computer... I think that now this thread just fit under GPS thread... but...

there is any way to save the settings on the GPS to work after the start without use the sirfdemo everytime?

There should be a command in the GPS itself to do that. I remember my deluo had something like that. Otherwise you may look at what sirfdemo sends, and make a little script to send that to the GPS before loading RR.
