Thanks for the suggestions guys, but as mentioned in the above post, the audio is just a small PART of the problem. As it stands, RR is not communicating with the tuner in any way whatsoever (EA: No freq displayed, No indicators, No RDS, Buttons do nothing at all ect). I am using the skin that was created for LSX to test with, as many have downloaded that skin, and it seems to work well.

I do know the port is set correctly for use with RR, as the relay in the radio clicks on when I start RR, and click off again when I exit RR. This computer currently only has COM 1 on it, so its a no brainer as far as that goes

did you verify you only have ONE HDRadioComm file in your computer (regardless of where the file is at) and that it is the one that comes with RR and that it was registered exactly where it is right now? I'm thinking the DLL that comes with the test application may be conflicting with the one RR comes with (older).

It is odd for the radio to click on/off but not do anything else.

i would say its odd too.. but outta the handful of people who have bought into the HD radio stuff .. 3 including myself had this same problem. John would you happen to have a usb/serial adapter you can try? It was the only solution that ended up working for me.

I never installed a test application. The DLL is in the HDRadio Folder, and has never been anywhere else on the machine. (well, other than to unpack the RR archive and move everything over that is ) It has also been registered in this location. I also did a search on drive C: for the DLL, and in the HDRadio folder is the only copy of it.

This is where it stands now, and what I have done:

- Dll is in only one location and has only been registered in that location (tried the unregister, re-register-run me first many times)
- Uninstalled doNt net 2.0 and reinstalled
- Skin is verified to work with the tuner
- All settings are in the rr.ini, and correct com port has been selected
- Radio works fine with Mitch's stand alone player
- No information is being received or sent to the radio through RR (No labels are updating, buttons do nothing ect)
- Phoned the local prayer line and put in a request

I do not have a USB ->Serial adapter off hand, but I do need to get one anyways, as my temperature board for the CarPC is taking up the serial port, so one of em has to move to USB I will try to pick one up here in the next couple of days and see if that does anything.

if my player works, you got good tuner, and good comport

make sure u are using the latest .dll in RR
the 1st release will not work with current cables!!!!

I have also used Mitch's HD PCR app (that's included with the cable).

thats a clue enough, if that dont work.... ie it dont find the cable
bad cable? (i test every one, and NONE have comeback)
try another PC!!
