    Problem with Autoskin

Since switching back to UK Standard Time for the winter months my autoskin switchover is exactly one hour later than sunrise/sunset. Is there a way to compensate for this ?

I see there is an offset in the gamma settings but I understand from the "readme.txt" this is to allow for a timed gradual change and not, as hoped, an immediate offset switch.
    Can anyone help ??

Run the new RR.config and change your times for what you want.

Possible for gapa to switch gamma profiles automatically?

You miss-understand, I am not, and do not wish, to use set times.....I am using GPS autoswitch.
This allows for an auto skin change in sync with the changing sunrise/sunset times. The problem arises when UK Summer Time changes to UK Standard Time and our clocks are adjusted forward by an hour. I need some way to compensate for this.

For Example; Sunset today here in the UK was 3:56PM. My skin changed at 4:56PM. If I had still been on UK Summer Time....the skin change would have occured at the correct time.

Does you GPS receiver displays the right time?
GPS should auto adjust to summer and winter time.

Yes, the same prob exits in the us while in standard time, it took me awhile to figure it out b/c for a while it was working (daylight savings time period) and when it switched I started to notice that my gamma started to be way off...

The code that is in RR does have the compensator, but if I recall correctly, its hard coded as one or the other, which should be a setting to allow for correct usage. And from my research on the feature, I couldn't find a easy way to check if win is using std or dst.

    Needs to be fixed though...

That's going to be hard. You are probably aware that the original code was written by Skippy76, who I think no longer frequents the forums. When I last approached him ( probably this time last year ! ) he said it was such a long time ago he doubts he could find the code again.

BlueZX3 What effect would the Gamma offset have on the skin switch if this was designed to phase the gamma over the offset time ?? You couldn't have a skin switch over a 60min offset time could you. LOL

I am not a programmer but it should not be to hard to do.
We have he weather channel's sunset and sunrise times. From there it should not be to hard with the EVAL function in RR.

    If windowsTime=SunsetTime Then
    Switch skin else
    end if

I've noticed that my weather skin functions differently now to how it used to do. I do not have a permanent internet connection in my car, but the page retains the weather data for the five days until it is updated. Before, when the weather skin was selected without an internet connection the data was lost. This could be a plus factor in collecting sunrise/sunset data, as you suggest, because it must now be stored somewhere on the HDD.

Could anyone crack this thing ? ...............looks like it's not just a UK problem as I first thought, but a US one too.
