FEATURE REQUEST: shorter weather day titles

right now the titles for each day for the weather information are as in the format of EX: Sunday, Feb 18. This is nice and detailed, but for my skin, id prefer just SUN or MON or TUE. anyway this can be done without changing code? or do i just have to wait? thanks a bunch

side note: BYVAR for sliders would be nice too (but i dont want to get greedy here)

First thing come to mind is to reduce the size of the label so it just show the day - kind-a like the GPSSPD label, if you make the field small, it won't display "Mp/h" just the speed (number).

yeah, but some letters in my font are bigger than others, so theres no set size to just get the first three characters. plus the label will be changing according to the day. example: WED is longer than FRI by a few pixels...

I would personally like the see the entire label broken up into date, time, day & city. Right now the

"2/19/08 10:41 AM CST - Tuesday, Feb, 19 - West Palm Beach, FL"

is pretty hard to fit anywhere on the weather skin to say the least.

The problem is that the weather add-on was done a long time ago by someone else (Sorry cant recall who did it), and added into the RR code.

well, yes, but i want it for each of the 5 days for the 5 day forecast. and i would personally prefer three-letter abbreviations for each day of the week. if you are feeling extra outgoing, all caps would be nice.
