Force Tag Display Refresh within roadrunner?

    Hi all,
I need to load new music tracks via an external program on one screen of my skin, all works fine and loads up in winamp but when I look in RR it still displays the old tags from what I had in the playlist previously..

I have partially solved this by automatically issuing 'ReloadListEx' when I make my new music selection but I only see the changes after the first track has played (or until I skip to the next track)

Is there any command to force RR to reload the labels with the latest info without having to skip to the next track ?

    Cheers!

Try RELOADLIST (without EX), try CLEARLIST||RELOADLIST(EX) etc... you should NEVER load music direct in winamp -- you should have RR load it for you so that it is updated both in winamp and RR.

    Thanks Guino,
I will try those out when I get home - I don't remember testing out CLEARLIST so hopefully that will do the trick

    Hi Guino,

I have just tried your suggestion and CLEARLIST does exactly that.. clears the playlist
So if I issue after loading my new tracks it stops all music and wipes winamp's playlist..
RELOADLIST and RELOADLISTEX don't work - well, RELOADLISTEX does but it only updates the labels on my skin at the next track change.

Is there any way to fool RR into thinking winamp has changed track after I've issued RELOADLISTEX so that it updates the skin labels straight away ?

    Cheers!

I do not know why this works but it works, BlueZX3 was the one that told me about it.

If you put a list in the screen that is not updating, it should then start to update for you. The list does not need to be visible , just make it 0 x 0 pixels like the below line:

    Code:
    S01,0,0,0,0,255,255,255,255,255,255,255,255,255,255,255,255,0,0,0,TRUE,20,"Arial Narrow:B"
I did this on a couple of screens in my skin, that were getting information from outside RR, and it now updates perfectly on that skin.

Yea, one of those oddities for sure, and definitely undocumented, but it does work
