RR Video Issue.....
First of all I like to thank all the ppl who are involved in designing and improving RR.. You guys are doing a dam good job..:high5:
I have a small issue with the video section of RR..
ISSUE: When a video is selected, it starts playing and after a little while it disappear and a black screen comes on top. But the video is still playing behind the black screen.
i have attached a pic of what I'm seeing..
This only happens when I use the external video player (media layer Classic). I don;t like using the built in player is RR, some videos lag when I use that player.
I have tried changing setting in RR and edited some of the ini files in the rr Directory as well. I have also reinstalled RR and updated Media Player classic to the latest version but it still does the same thing.
I'm using the "Ultimate" Skin, I have also tried different skins and it still does the same thing.
This never happened with my old setup, it only started after updating RR to the latest version....
I can't figure out what's going on.... :yield:This happens with the RR install in my laptop and my carPC.
There's a known issue with the video screen if you have transitions enabled,so do you have transition=0 in your RR.ini?
^ yeah, transition is set to 0.
Thats why your having this problem then.
You have a few choices the 1st of which is to delete that line from your RR.ini but you'll lose transitions between screens and i'm assuming you want to keep those so............
Open your video.skin file and add this /EFFECTOUT=-1 to the end and let me know if that fix's it for you.
Update : I think I found a fix. I turned off transition in the "ultimate" skin and it seems to be ok now...
I'll give this a go and see what happens...

Thanks for all the Help!!
Does this fix apply to DFX 3.0 as well? Also, the "video.skin" file, is that a file in the specific skin folder or is that in the RoadRunner folder?
Problem has been solved! Thank You For Your Help!
Yes it applies to all skins, the video.skin is skin specific and any skin with video support will have 1.
