I don't know if its just me. I'm in the NYC area and I've been using the Visteon HD radio with Mitch cable and the DigitalFX skin. Also with Mitch windows application.
My point here is that I found with the HD radio front panel (hardware front panel) I can get for example 102.7 HD-1 and if I push the up arrow button I get the same 102.7 but HD-2 with a different stream. The same with 101.1 CBSFM or 101.9 JazzFM with front panel I can get HD-1 and HD-2 streams of the same freq number. But using either Mitch application or the DigitalFX skin when on the HD-1 of the frequency if I hit either the "up" or "->" buttons then the radio just move to the next freq 102.9 or keeps going to the next station on a different freq after that.
Does any one knows how to get dial into the different HD streams of the same station with any skin ? or does Mitch app supports that feature ?Thanks for your help.
Mike.

The version of the DFX skin does not have support for HD radio. The one coming out here shortly does have full support, and it does switch streams. Its just a matter getting the right button codes.

John, as I mentioned before I was using FX2.5. But let me tell you, your HD skin implementation in the new FX3.0 blows away any competitor. What a nice skin for almost everything. And yes with your new skin I can get the different streams from the same freq. I really have to drop you at least $20 for your great work.
Now I was wondering if anyone has experimented to add a signal amplifier to the Visteon. It happen to me that I get full signal for a station on HD then over the sudden it goes down the signal bar and obviously it changes to analog which sometimes can be annoying due to the sound difference. I was wondering if an amplifier or better gain antenna could help to lock better the stations.
Any thoughts welcome.
Mitch by the way I have to get another cable now for my wife carputer, she saw mine now either I install one on her car or she will steal my car. Do you have in stock at this time? Thanks.
Mike.

I have had the same problem. I thought it was my antenna, I am looking at adding a power booster to the antenna to help lock the signal.
You can use basic HD AND switch substreams on ANY skin that can control standard radio. Tuning is the same as standard radio, then if you want to tune a subchannel you can open the "TUNE" Numeric pad and instead of entering a frequency you can enter just .1 or .2 etc to get the sub channels... this only works after tuned to the frequency. However, there are commands to manage and display subchannel information, it's all developed and done, it's just a matter of getting it into a skin.
