read about variable and the custom list feature in skin commands.txt
I am using a launch.skin to embedd some external utilities and I would like to use more launch skins (with different folders). The idea is to have a launchGamesPC.skin, launchUtilities.skin, launchEmulators.skin, etc.
I think that I must use a dir list with SXX and then use some SD options to make road runner knows that is a launch folder.
How could I do this??
Yes, you'd have to build a custom list and use variables to help you with that. Or you'd have to do some tricky renaming of files/folders along with /discardable in the .skin to make RR reload different copies of your launch.skin (using the same file name)
I am trying to use "SETVAR;launchpath;$skinpath$launchGamesPC||LOAD;l aunch.skin" and
"SETVAR;launchpath;$skinpath$launchUtil||LOAD;laun ch.skin" but it seems that variable cant be changed in runtime.
Writing the launch path to rr.ini (SAVETOINI) and reloading road runner works, but I would like doing this without having to write the .ini file in the hard disk or renaming the launch folders (I would like to use road runner in a non writable ewf+horm system).
Road Runner only interprets folders lists like launch list if they are in the launch.skin??
You could always write a script to rename the separate launch folders to "LAUNCH" prior to loading LAUNCH.skin.

Thanks to all, finally I resolved this using 3 custom lists (for each launch list) and switching between them to load the application path and window name into road runner variables. The code line I used is:
B,517,398,275,116,"SETVARBYCODE;POS;CLPOS||CLCLEAR ||CLLOAD;$skinpath$Listas\JuegosPC_path.txt;true|| SETVARBYCODE;PATH;CLTEXT$POS$||CLCLEAR||CLLOAD;$sk inpath$Listas\JuegosPC_ventana.txt;true||SETVARBYC ODE;VENTANA;CLTEXT$POS$||CLCLEAR||CLLOAD;$skinpath $Listas\JuegosPC.txt;true||LOAD;EXTAPP.SKIN;EXTAPP ;$PATH$;$VENTANA$",
And it works!!
good to hear you've solved the problem. The custom lists were just recently added and they are a HUGE addition to Road Runner's abilities. Using custom lists and a simple autoit script i was able to make a file manager that runs directly from within RR.
