Ripping my hair out... Volume auto increase after changing track

Maybe I missed something, but i'm using the latest stable (not beta) of RR, and i noticed that whenever i change tracks, the new track thats start playing automatically starts at 43% volume. So if I have the volume down to 5% because i'm talking to someone, when a new track comes on I get blasted by sound. (not fun when you have 1000W) Is it a setting in RRconfig that I missed, or does it have something to do with the fade volume up checkbox? Thanks in advance for any insight.

    Snootch,

Check winamp -- go into the plugin section (inputs) and look at the wave plugin. Check to see if the "control volume" (or something like that -- I'm not in front of my machine right now) is checked. If it is, uncheck it.

I just solved the same problem. Good luck.

There is also a way for Road Runner to automatically adjust the volume and EQ settings based on genre. It's not well documented, but here is whats in the SkinCommands.txt file. It is based on Song Genre to auto adjust EQ/Volume settings:

"AUTOEQ" - Toggles Winamp Autoload Song EQ presets (ON/OFF)
Front End of Choice: Ride Runner (Is there anything else??? ) & Powered by the DFX5.1 Skin Available in the Mobile App Mart

I had the same issue a few years ago and the error was within winamp's configuration of the output and/or inputs plugins. check them out

Awesome, Thanks guys. Unfortunately I can't do any of it right now since my SP13000 just died on me. However I have a SN18000 on it's way. I'm also doing a PSU upgrade and adding a PCI-E Nvidia 7900GS. If I still have the same problem, i'm sure it is the Winamp issue. Thanks again!
