Mitch it's here-- New Frontend Project (NewDirection) (56k beware) -- take a look I think it's pretty cool.J/K
looks like "another RR", just another front end, written in a old legacy language
it doesnt jump out, id prob have to see it in action
i for sure dont like the sample images, looks cluttered and hard to use when driving
like most skins... great when not moving...
course i've been spoiled, by my control... the sony rm-x11
is there a download?

Just wanted you to take a look. He hasn't far as I know released it yet. I just got it cause I begged him til he caved. Loaded your new update in today. Works great AFTER you run the run me first thing

First off I want to say thank you for working on this. I appreciate that someone is putting some effort on fixing some of RoadRunner's shortcomings.
I'm not sure if this is related to any of the changes you made to your RR release but I couldn't replicate it with either the current and previous unmodified RR releases.
Everything seems to be working great within the XM screen itself but when I switch out to a different screen, like the main menu or the Nav screen I can't change stations. I noticed that normally you can see the station list in the RR playlist on the main screen but that doesn't happen in this build, the playlist is empty. I imagine that's why the RRNext and RRPrev commands don't do anything.

mean? "main screen"?
yes... it does act differently when not on the XM screen itself...
but its a workaround for the tuning playlist is distroyed at the time
i just call the next/prev of the tuner, not of the playlist...
so its imperfect and i have no solution, it just how RR does it

Does that mean that we will never be able to scroll through a favorites list by pressing next unless we are on the XM screen itself? there is no work around for it?
It always irked me that if I was out of the XM screen and hit next, it would go to the next numerical channel instead of the next channel in my favorites list.
Oh well, I guess I can live
well.. no, do go too far to say that, its just how RR is written
look its a great free front end, but not with out its issues
i would and/or could create a live copy of the PL, so that its always available to tune though
the problem is, the more i work on this... the more the code bothers me... remember i dont use this sw...its all for you guys...
