Thread: RoadRunner.exe only 700 kb

    RoadRunner.exe only 700 kb

    what am i doing wrong? since i run rr_updater.exe it tells me that there is a new version from 12/2008, download and install it. but says it failed.

    road runner.exe now is only approx. 687 kb big (before over 2.7 mb) and avg virus scanner tells me about trojan. ignoring the avg message i still canot start road runner.exe

    AVG is a piece of crap. It deleted your file.

    Uninstall that bloatware and reinstall RR. Then it will work.

    I switched to Avast anti virus (Free version) and never looked back. It has many more options and doesn't complain about RR or all of my AutoIt scripts!

    I think you may have that mixed up. The credit card fraud was not Avast, but "companies" selling license codes for their FREE edition Virus Checker. You can read more HERE. The link I posted above is the REAL Avast site. So Fair warning to those reading this, the free version of Avast is just that, FREE! Do not get suckered into paying for a license.

    the 2.7mb version of the .exe was an uncompressed beta version. Guino compresses each official release and that takes the file size down to around 700k

    Yesterdays Avast update now picks up RR as a virus.
