    Roadrunner and iMon Ultrabay

I shot this video a few months back, but forgot to post it. Was making another and ran across it.

    My opinion is my own.

To mount it, here is the thread...

    http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/fabr...2004-350z.html

To program it, well, that isn't as easy on RoadRunner. First off, the iMon is programmable by program, meaning whatever is running at the time, the iMon can control it. Streetdeck is pretty easy to set up, but Roadrunner, you have to edit different files (kinda backwards). You have to figure out the keystrokes you want to use (programming the iMon software), then figure out how they coinside with RR by running it through KeyCode.exe (in your roadrunner directory), and THEN finally putting that information in the KeyTBL.ini file.

As for the readout, the iMon automatically reads whatever is shown on winamp, so even if you are running the internet radio, you get artist/album info. That part is really cool.
    My opinion is my own.

I have had nothing but issues with imon, I wanted to build a htpc after the car PC and the imon swung the deal as the wife cant use a mouse, its been great for the music side of things, but for the TV, no go, I cant get it to send correctly to the tv app, or to close it after when you press mp3/video etc.

    Anyclues?

I'm using the supplied ImedianHD software, maybe I should put RR on the HTPC.....
That would be a whole new learning curve though.

What I was after was twisting the imon select knob to send page up / page down to perform the channel change, that would be enough to get her off my back etc, not that she is complaining, but I know how she feels without having to say it.....

I really don't know what to tell you since I don't use the iMonHD software. I know you can set the knob to do pretty much whatever you want through the universal (tray) imon software (think it is editing the program settings or frontend settings), then you can also match those controls with specific controls on the remote.

You added the tv app to the imon frontend, right? Then once it is added, you then command the knobs and buttons to do whatever you want under that program. Since it is for your wife and she doesn't like the mouse, you can program that autostart button for the tv app also. The same button on the remote control would do the same.

Hope that helps! Sorry it took so long. Traveling overseas on short notice, and handling issues with the StreetDeck group......ok.....I forgot.

Unfortunately, I am in Ireland with only my laptop, so I can't check any of this for you.
