Thread: XM radio with RR... please help

    Right now I've got it running off a 120 AC to 13 DC converter, so engine noise in the power circuit isn't an issue yet, I suspect I may have just had a cable loose. I will definitely keep that in mind when I get to installing everything in the car itself. Still have to work out power and acc lines though.

    Those converters are noisy as hell. I would bet that is a big part of your problem. Again, running it off the regulated supply from the PC is the best way and also has the advantage of reseting the XMD1000 every time you start up/shut down.
