    once again broken video

Not to long ago I had the same problem but, It fixed it self or I did something to fix it(didn't know what I did)
All video types play fine in winamp and mpc outside RR.
I am using the built in video with the mpc location in the rr directory (using FFdshow). When I am in rr in video only one video plays... the one that starts automatically. When I go into browser to select a differnt video, I click on it and it returns to the video screen with the same video that was playing still playing. If I back out to the main menu I see that winamp has started to play the video that I selected in the browser... For some reason when ever I choose a new video, winamp always opens it up and starts playing it, but not under video.
I hope you can follow the problem I am having. I have changed file association to wmp, to mpc to winamp to... everything. Deleted video.ini resume.ini ...many times. Tried almost everything that I can think of. Reinstalled RR, winamp, mpc...
Is winamp or mpc supposed handle video when in the video skin? I am lost, I don't want to install another program for video so it half way works, when it worked fine before.

    Please any help or ideas

built-in video isn't MPC. According to a recent search i did, RR uses "WMP API," whatever that means, as the built-in video player.

dis-associate your video files from winamp....

then go to your video folder and right click on all the diff formats, avi mpeg etc... open with / mpc "always open using this program"

Tried that also but, gave it anougther go. In winamp/agent I removed and video associtions. Then associated the video files to mpc. Still didn't work. Then in RRconfig I unchecked use built in video player. Then it started to work again, well almost working. RR has a hard time coming back to a focused screen. Usually you tap the screen and the controls would show up. It's kind of a shot in the dark now. I did notice that when I closed the video palyer(it's using mpc now) manually that the controls were behind it.
I did go back and check the used built in video player, and it didn't work again. So for now it's unchecked. I hope I can work this all out. I don't watch alot of videos in the car. It's mainly for my kids on the rear monitors. Makes the ride so much quiter.

I dont think this is specifically useful to you, but then again.. you are probably willing to try anything.

Actually, this does help. The first thing in that list is to uninstall Divx or other codec players that might cause problems. I had to uninstall my Divx player and that fixed my problem with the video not showing with mpc.
