Question Can't get to channel 0 for xm activation.

Here's the situation i have an XM Direct(XMD1000) and adapter cable form the mp3car store. Everything seems to be hooked up correctly and working with roadrunner since i can listen to the xm preview channel and see a partial listing of the other channels. However this is my first xm device and i need to activate it. I'm told i need to get to channel 0 to get my device id for activation. Problem is i cant get to channel zero using either DigitalFx4 or any other skin I've tried. Is there something else I need to do. I imagine this is something simple I'm missing however I've done a number of searches to no avail, probably just searching the wrong terms.
    Thanks for any thoughts/solutions.

    dont worry about ch 0.

Just get the serial number off of the XMD1000 itself and call XM with it. It is the same number that you would have gotten on ch 0

According to xm the radio id is an 8 digit number. On the XMD there is a sticker that says radio ID and it has an 8 digit number. However I have tried using that on the phone and two different reps said that it is not a valid xm radio id. The 8 digit number on the xmd1000 is in the form 67067067

As in not those exact numbers but it is a repeating set of 3 digits in this case 670 times 2 and then the first two (67) repeated for the third set. There is another number on the box but its like got 3 x's and its hyphenated and definitely not 8 digits.

BTW this is the OP, my account is locked from bad password attempts for some reason though :P

    Mitchjs,
Sorry bout delay in getting back here had to work all day. Thanks for the tip worked for me, not sure if there are other better ways to do this but it solved my problem perfectly.

Oddly the real radio ID wasn't even remotely similar to the one printed on the sticker.

I am also having this problem. I am unable to pull the unit out as I stupidly stuffed it deep in the guts of my vehicle before getting the numbers I might need off it. I also don't see a link anywhere to download Mitch's XMID program. Is there another way I can get the ID?
