This is the most complete installer I could make at this time.

no matter how much I bugged you

Before Install disable your Anti-Virius software, the "RoadRunner.exe" will need to be added as an exclusion. Once you add the "RoadRunner.exe" as an exclusion, you may enable your Anti-Virius software.There is NO Virius/Trojan in this file, and please no one blame UPX. Its because of the use of advanced Operating System API Calls that the AV software "thinks" there is something to be worried about.

NOTES:
1. This installer is existing setting safe, it will not overwrite .ini files.
(you should back them up anyway, who knows when the HD will fail)
2. All required DLLS are automaticly registered.
3. There is many options within the setup to install/not install components.
4. There is an option to Download Winamp v2.95.

The files in this installer are the NEWEST versions as of 10/11/08.
The RoadRunner.exe is built on 10/10/08 (Details later on minor changes)

Please keep any reply posts in this thread ON TOPIC to the installer
like a possiblity that I forgot a file.

I will POST the RoadRunner.exe updates in another thread.

Awesome Mitch! Thanks to you and all those who helped!

Just did a clean install, and once I got all my old .ini settings ported over, it seems to working like a dream. Finds the HDRadio, plays music and video, GPS works...

I think a nice addition would be the option to "fix flash" during the install, as that seems to be one of the bigger issues with new installs. Also maybe downloading a codec pack for MPC.

I dont want to get involved with codecs, i wasnt comfortable with putting MPC in it as it is...

nice installer mitch , what about adding shortcuts for skin editor and rrconfig to desktop as well, you have skin tool and rr there,

i hate to be the "problem child" here ... but ran this to cleam install in "d:\car\roadrunner\" and rr will not run looks like GDI+ issue. Black/pink line down center of screen.

car pc is vanilla xp/sp2 with .NET2 installed, but no xp updates installed.

I noticed the same problem. You have to add fastmode=-1 to your rr.ini. But when you run rrconfig again it deletes the line out of rr.ini.

Edit: add fastmode=-1 to the ini variables in rrconfig

I had the same problem with the Fastmode variable in rr.ini

I guess since the use of Flash depends on the skin you use, maybe it should be up to the skin to provide the means to fix it. I'm not sure if Carwings uses flash by default...

One thing I noticed with MPC, it embeds fine for videos, but when I try and play a DVD it no longer embeds properly, just stretches the whole MPC window (controls and all) to whatever aspect ratio I choose. Would this be a skin or RR issue?

Edit: Also, you should add the option to launch a readme or FAQ file once the install is done. Better yet, make it mandatory...

spamminator, i dont have a good readme/faq... someone make one

as for dvd, maybe its some .ini setting... ive never seen in used for dvd in anything i do

machinehead, i will check if fastmode, is being dropped out
yep it is, we'll get that fixed

fastmode=-1 means use GDI+ which "pink" regions would be removed
not what i would think it to be, remember i know little to nothing about RR

It has been fixed in the NEW rrconfig.exe
