    I also saw RR playing movies in WinAMP. This just happens when
    - RR doesn't know it's in video mode (which you tell it by using the command VIDEO, before calling the browser) or
    - you're using SELECT on a screen which is a) not called video_browser.skin and b) hasn't been called with the command LIST.

    Ok, last try. Be sure to check ALL the following points:
    1. the video screen skin has to be called video_player.skin
    2. the browser screen skin has to be called video_browser.skin
    3. open the video player with the command VIDEO
    4. open the video browser with the command LIST
    5. play a video by using the command SELECT in the video browser. It will work just there, not on any other screen with a directory list
    6. call the video player BEFORE the video browser. DON'T go directly to the browser and then to the player

    RR is alittle picky when it comes to this. I'm just creating my own skin and it definately works as described.

    Its #6 is what's 99% causing the problem, and many other have tried to do that as well. You have to go thu the video player screen to get to the video browser screen.

    One long work aound would be to use a cmd like "VIDEO||LIST", would get you the end result you want just not as nicely as you might want...

    Ok guys I think I got it to work but I'm at work and can't completely test it. What I was trying to do was:
    menu.skin --> video.skin --> video_browser.skin --> video_player.skin
    --------------------------> "DVD" (video_player.skin)
    (I hope that formats correctly for everyone)

    What I actually had to do was:
    menu.skin --> video_player.skin --> "DVD"
    ---------------------------------> video_browser.skin

    I was hoping I could get it to work without going to the video_player screen first because it automatically starts playing, but this will do. Maybe I'll fool around with "VIDEO||LIST" when I've worked out the other bugs in my skin.

    Thanks again for your help everyone!

    If you don't want it to auto-play, you can probably put a STOP command there after it loads video_player.skin.. or before you load video_player.skin you can create a blank videos.m3u file in RR's folder so it can't find anything to play..

    I've thought of those ways already but then I can't resume. I'm thinking of writing a batch file that if I leave the screen will make a backup ini then replace it if I hit a resume button. Maybe not the cleanest way to do it but I think it will work. I've already thought of a better way while typing that. Couldn't I use PAUSE on exit/entrance and then have a RESUME button or would it still want to play automatically? I'll play with that later.

    My last question/issue with this is if it's playing a video and I select a different video it doesn't remove the origional video and they both play. I've tried adding a command that removes everything from videos.m3u on file click but that doesn't seem to work. Any other ideas?

    I'm getting closer, but still not getting it. I know I'm probably being an annoying n00b but when I click on a second video, the first video stops now, but then replays with the second video.

    I want the video to keep playing until I click on a different file so this is what I have so far...

    In video_player.skin:
    B,0,267,200,75,"LIST",

    In ExecTBL:
    "ONFILECLICK","STOP||SELECT||VIDEO"

    According to the Skin Commands file:
    "SELECT" - Erases Playlist then loads the current folder and subfolders as the new playlist. The selected item of Directory list will be the Item first played on the new playlist.
    So if it's deleting the playlist and playing the first item in the list. Why is it not stopping the previous video?

    This is the last thing with the whole video situation that I can't get.
