Ive used KMPlayer before and if it would embed properly, it would be the ULTIMATE CURE to the commercial DVD resume issue in Road Runner. It plays store bought dvd's flawlessly with full features and has a perfectly functional resume no matter how many menus and special features a DVD may have, IT PICKS UP RIGHT WHERE YOU LEFT OFF!
It's clean, neat, skinnable, and is not obsurdly clunky and grotesquely tacky looking like PowerDVD and WinDVD. AND IT IS FREE!!!! The problem with it from what i can see, is that it is technically a hacked-up winamp clone with DVD support. Roadrunner mistakes KMPlayer for winamp, and minimizes it to the tray when you try to run it at the same time. Its a crying shame because again it works better than anything else out there in my honest opinion on store bought DVD's.
If I had enough programing skills, I would take a shot at trying to make it work with road runner, but I am a hardware guy, and unfortunately programing is not my specialty at all. Do I think that it is worth being integrated into RR by one of the programing savy guys on this forum? H. E. Double Hockey Sticks Yeah!!!!! It should be a high priorityIt would take Road Runner to the next level!
Again KMPlayer works better than anything else (paid or freeware) out there in my honest opinion when it comes to store-bought DVD's. Are you programming guys listening?
