    GPS Time

When I have GPS time sync enabled it jumps to Feb 08.... Any ideas? Then this causes RR not to run with the new time out. The time is fine, just the date.

    Thanks.

Personally I recommend not using GPS time. It has never worked correctly for me or many others.

Alright, this is the first time I have had an issue with it. But it doesn't matter windows can sync from the internet anyway.

Thanks though, at least I am not the only one.

Just started having a issue with this as well. It almost looks like GPS Time has broken with the latest release as I am using international units which have been working for a long time and with all previous releases.

Now the Day and Month are swapping. My system is set to dd/mm/yyyy and the GPS Time is setting mm/dd/yyyy so today I had it set to 13/4/2008 (I am ahead 9.5hrs so by midday today this will be 12/5/2008). I can confirm that the old versions of Road Runner are working well and that it is not my GPS unit as this is happening with both a u-blox and a Garmin both of which are reporting the correct UTM/UPS time.

I do not have US date settings set in the ini file.

I would love for this to be fixed as I do not have an internet connection in the car and have been relying on the GPS Time to set the clock.

    Cheers.

PS: It seems that the GPS Time set is before the Time Bomb in the current version as I now get the time set to the incorrect date and then Road Runner exits. Pain in the rear end to have to try and set the date then get Road runner working every time.

I will have to play with it some more, now that I have read all the posts. I did check my timezone and that was set. The time is fine, it is just the date. I will that gpsupdate option, maybe that was my problem. I will you all know.

I tried using GPS time and it didn't work for me either. It always set the date to 2015 (the time was fine). The time zone for my PC is set correctly.

maybe u can capture a gpsresponse

    starts with

    $GPRMC

    and paste it here

    example

    $GPRMC,040302.663,A,3939.7,N,10506.6,W,0.27,358.86 ,200804,,*1A

    the date here is, AUG(08), 20th, 2004
    20 08 04 DDMMYY

if it comes in MMDDYY, then set gpsusadate=true

Typically if someone has gpsusadate=false and it doesn't work, changing it to true fixes it.

Similarly, if someone has gpsusadate=true and it doesn't work, changing it to false fixes it.
