Is there some simple setting that I've missed.
I've looked.
Thanks....

Check mastervolmap=0 in rr.ini and if that doesn't help try changing the winamp output plugin.

Hmm, on that same note:
I use DFX, when I use the HD radio, hybernate the system, then return and go to my music, the volume is all the way at zero. The HD radio volume is fine, but I have to go to the winamp mixer and turn the (music) volume back up.
I don't see how the "mute winamp on exit" would effect that but I'll change it.
And I'll look at the mastervolmap=0.
mstaedt: look at your RR configurations and play around with sound output: "master" verses "all lines".

I have same problem.. I just thought it was a bug or something we have to deal with... alil annoying... but no complaints.. on a side note, I get serious buzzing through the VGA calbe connected to laptop but it's only present when lattop is in standby or off.. completly gone once PC is on. It's definitly traveling through VGA cable though here's my setup just in case anyone knows the quick fix
10ft vga cable exteded ran center away from any power source.
Lilliput 10.4" powered to ignition/grounded to chassy
laptop connected to 300 watt inverter plugged into cigarett lighter... I know, I know... bad idea...but need temp setup as I got to save for Carnetix.
I have looked in audio forum.. i did'nt find anything for VGA cable the only thing i found was feedback lines on monitor no problems there... only a pop then buzzing when PC is OFF/Standby
I unplugged inverter no differrence the noise go away if VGA cale is unplugged.
my guess is laptop and monitor half to be grounded the same way to the chassy but being that laptop works on battery or AC it's ground looping throught the monitor VGA to the monitor then to chassy. any suggestions
Did it.. Done it... now I got to keep the neighbors kids away!!
This is sort of a thread hijack, but anyways:
You are spot on with your last reasoning. It should be trying to ground itself via both the vga and audio cables. If you unplug the vga, and leave the audio to amp connected, does it buzz too? Or do you have an optical connection or something?
The fix is to make the PC grounded to the car directly. So use a DC-DC which you are saving up to buy already.

Ya...
I just figured out the same thing. If I leave RR with the HD radio running, the Winamp volume is zero when I come back. All is ok if I leave with the mp3 player up.
Thanks...
