from my understanding Windows 7 (Vienna) has picked up where Windows 6 (Vista) dropped the ball.
:Tracker64: I do have high expectations that all legacy software should be compatible. I'm IT. I think like that. i purchased the aton mobo and 1.8ghz cpu from Tigerdirect. It has 2gb ram and Win7 runs like a champ. Wanna laugh even harder. i've installed Win7 on my home pc and about to do the same on my wife's laptop - LOL. IMO, it truly is a nice system. i will be first on line to purchase licenses.
With that said, I've successfully installed my wifi usb stick, but i am running into problems getting RR fully up and running. I have successfully installed the app but my music won't load. Also, i tried to install spanner for my garmin but that also won't install. My touchscreen feature is currently not working. Would you believe i'm not discouraged by any of this. It is what it is.
:El Camino: i'm curious to know about your installation.
RR runs perfectly in WIN7. On first run, right click and run as administrator. After that just double click. What runs in Vista, runs in Win7.
Dang, afterdigital, you beat me to it....
I got mine to run last night the same way afterdigital did, I just didn't post it... LOL
And in agreement with everyone else, what runs in Vista, SHOULD run in Win7
as with any microsoft product, that statement is bull****.

I said it SHOULD work not it would work.
In other words, I made no guarantee with that statement.
