Curious, can ya just take the new Riderunner.exe and place it in the existing RR folder? Like we use to do when the new Roadrunner versions came out? Will this still use whatever you added/subtracted from the file?

If you do that, it will not do anything when loaded...that is just now an empty exe that forwards any messeges it receives to RideRunner to keep everything working with the name change. Just look at the size of the roadrunner.exe...very small(13kb to be exact).

there is no good reason to NOT use the installer
using the installer, will update your XM/SR art, and HD/SR/XM improvements and such
and if this stuff dont apply to you, just uncheck them in the installer

    Feature request:

Since updating RR will be updating more often, is there any way to apply an update from WITHIN RR?

Ideally, what I'd like to see happen is this:

    - Plug in in USB drive w/ RR installer or udpate (idk) file.
    - Click a button in the skin while RR is running to update everything.
    - Close and restart RR to reflect the changes.

I'm not sure how something like this will affect people using HORM, but just throwing something out there...

Hi, was wondering what versions of mappoint ride runner supports?

I have mp 2006 configured with road runer and it works fine, however it doesn't seem to want to work with ride runners latest version.

    Congrats!

    Guino,

Congratulations and good luck on your venture! Quick question - can I import my old RR.ini - it looks like it - as it was set up how I want it.

    Thanks

Is this maybe the reason for the name change?
Roadrunner is a supercomputer built by IBM at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico, USA. Currently the world's fastest computer, the US$133-million Roadrunner is designed for a peak performance of 1.7 petaflops, achieving 1.026 on May 25, 2008,[1][2][3] and to be the world's first TOP500 Linpack sustained 1.0 petaflops system. It is a one-of-a-kind supercomputer, built from commodity parts, with many novel design features.
