This may be related to the newer versions of firefox... I haven't personally tested newer versions for awhile .. my recommendation is to use the web browser plugin.
I recently upgraded my Carpc with many things, a newer version of RoadRunner included. I'm having a little trouble using the web browser though. I can get it to embed Firefox just fine. It's when I use the button that brings up the OSK for the location bar. I'll type in the address and hit "Enter". Then the PC hangs for a little bit before getting back to RR. When it gets back, Firefox is gone. If I minimize RR, there's a Popup window that says something like "Firefox is already running. To open a new window, close Firefox first or restart your system." Maybe not word for word, but it gets the gist across. I have no problem browsing the web otherwise. I can search the page I want with Google and get to it from there. I've check the settings in RRconfig, but don't see anything out of place.

I had the same issue with Firefox 3. I rolled it back to version 2 and all is well. You can get it at www.oldversion.com.
That's what I was thinking of doing after what guino had said. It didn't even dawn on me that it could have been the newer version. I seem to overlook the obvious too easily sometimes.
Any other updates on this error? Or are we stuck for now in downgrading our browser?
Thanks,
Lee
I'll have to work with FireFox 3 to see what changed.. and hopefully make it work as well.

My last attempt to fix the problem didn't work. I even installed RR and firefox on my second partition and still no luck.
I get the same error any time I try to use the WEBURL command.
e.g. button = "WEBURL;$ML1$" or "WEBURL;http://www.xxxxxxxxx.com/showtimes?location=90210"
(I write a ML1 variable to the skin to have a button to load a movie listing page)
Could this be an issue between RideRunner and FireFox v3?
I tested the OSK and a weburl link using IE8 as the default in RR and it works fine. It does close the open browser and reopen a new one within 1 second though. Most likely firefox isn't getting closed as quickly as IE hence the error message.
I feel like it's something with the newer versions of RR. Ever since the RideRunner versions, I've been noticing new problems, this being one of them.
