    iPhone control

I ran a search but did not find much regarding iPhone integration besides that it can only use the computer as a handsfree device. Does this mean that at least we could have the music pause when receivig a phonecall and hit answer on the computer? What's the proper way to go about integrating this? I am using the lsx void skin

well that thread is regarding VNC control of the phone as a separate plugin, not really normal phone integration that is done with other phones. you can't use the VNC plugin to make and receive calls im pretty sure (because it would exit), and as stated in that thread its very laggy.

I was asking more about integrating the iphone in the more traditional sense.

This requires the iPhone to support the "traditional" way of controlling the phone -- such as a serial port (cable) or a serial port profile (SPP) over bluetooth. Otherwise you'd have to have some application installed in the iphone that communicates with the computer (over some support bluetooth profile, wi-fi or by cable), and have this application notify the computer of calls and provide phone books as well as allowing you to place calls and send commands from the computer ... pretty much like the PhocoAdapter Zorro made awhile ago for windows mobile phones (many of which also lacked the "traditional" way of controlling the phone.

The only other option would be a "hardware" solution, that is, a hardware that can talk to the iphone and can talk to the PC (or be made to do so)... this is an example: http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/hard...ort-carpc.html

thanks for the reply guino, i understand the reasons that there is no good integration (apple crippled the BT on the iphone). i was just wondering more if it could at least be integrated for receiving calls as the handsfree functionality would at least provide call notification to the pc.
