I'm using Winamp TV Plugin to make my DVBT work in RR
Recently, I tried to embed my DVBT application to RR, but still some problems to overcome. For instance, how to turn music off when I enter DVBT application.
No solution yet so far
Well i have been considering using digital TV in the car..as the time will eventually come when analog will stop..
I know digital Tv looks crap while moving etc..
but i have been watching some good products that use diversity tuners ..eg: http://www.terratec.net/en/products/...sity_1608.html
it is said to have been designed to be used on the go..
so except the previous attempts by "quickmic" to embed the native terratec application in RR is there any hope of supporting DVB-T in RR (as the winamp TV will not work with DVB and even if it does it will sure not support the diversity tuners)

I have an HDTV tuner card on they way. Has anyone had luck viewing TV stations in RR?

From what I remember, HDTV in the US has incredibly poor reception even when stopped with a big antenna, I really wonder what kind of reception you could get with a small antenna while in motion.. in any case, you should be able to at least embed the application in RR, but you may be able to use the winamp tv plugin for it as it does support digital receivers with the standard tuner interface.

I gave my USB HDTV tuner a go. It definitely works in the car. i get less signal then i do in my apartment, maybe because of the steel box that is my car. I'm going to try to get the antenna on the roof to see if that helps. The processor in my VIA motherboard might be a little slow to process the video, since it seemed a little choppy and the processor was near 100%, but its a fun feature. more later...
*** Update.... when i placed the antenna on the roof, i get 21 channels!! ANd they come in great!! I'm considering trying to connect the car's radio antenna to the tuner to see if that works w/o placing an antenna on my car an running wire. An alternative will be to put the antenna on the trunk or something.
I also noticed that standard definition channels work perfectly, but HD channels were a little choppy. Not sure if its because of the reception or the under-powered processor.

maybe someone in the future can do something to support teratecs diversity..natively..guino or robby maybe? it looks like diversity will be the way to go for us. i don't think we will see a plugin (like the one in winamp) to support it as it is terratec spesific i think like guino said..

This is the one i have. I just connected the car's roof antenna to the tuner and am getting decent results. Using the antenna that came w/ it, i get 5 stations when the antenna is in teh car, and 21 when its on the roof. using the car's antenna i get 15 stations, and 2 or 3 aren't good enough to play without skipping. i think for not adding an antenna to the car, that's a pretty good compromise.
