could you provide syntaxes of commands: e.g.

- run *.dll's under admin
- add programs to registry

You also mention:

Road Runner config doesn't like running as a non admin either, and it doesn't recognize the audio ports with the driver included in Win7, had to set them manually in RR.ini using Notepad. What exactly did you set up manually in RR.ini?

How is running scripts through the command different from right-cliking and installing under administrator?

what GPS model are you using?

And unless your using an old config, the new one does do vista/win7 audio lines.

I'm a bit confused. Everwhere on this forum - the concensus was to run RR under "compatibility with WinXP sp2" for audio to work. I did the opposite - left it alone and part of the audio worked. If i choose to run RR.exe under "compability with WinXP" the mixer does not work at all.

BTW, i'm running Windows 7...

correct, RR works perfectly fine in Win7/vista

no need to mess with compatiblity....

That compatibility thing was BEFORE mitch did all the work to support the vista/7 mixer.

I am running vista ultimate and typing from my car now Great work guys .. you rock. Riderunner is up Iguidance, now lets see whats up with the 2140 PSU mon.
