Trying out your test flashflex pcpete, nice work!
I would have to say this flash programming is pushing RR to it's limits :)
I've also noticed flash objects have to be "single click' meaning if you hold down a volume button it will only advance 1 step, so it must repeatedly be clicked to turn up the volume.
Also I'm testing rr 3-09 and this skin on 2 different platforms and it's S...L...O...W on a new intel atom board with 1gb RAM and XPE running on flash that otherwise runs my picture based skins with lightning quickness. Things like the seconds cannot keep up, slow switching even after loaded.
On the flip side though my vistax64 quad core development beast runs it silky smooth. Also noticed you added nav embedding in this version, thx again!
Let me know if you guys need further component testing of RR or flashflex.
Thx blk02si, good to see you got it working, really only a concept test for now!
I see you are afellow igo8 user, is that the hp skin?
It does need a fast cpu, I've got an amd be2350 in my carpc, runs like a charm...
That's a good point on the pressing and holding, I can modify the actionscript to respond to a hold, i'll add that to my list of things to do :)
thx for the offer , any feedback is great....
the easy fix for that is to use BUTTONDOWN, BUTTONUP in the fscommand

@pcpete: can you give me an example of where I can place /discardable in your skin to duplicate the crash issue so I can look into it ? I know you rather have the components moved, but /discardable needs to be fixed regardless.
i have it entered at the bottom of my menu.skin...it's commented out...

thx sonic, I'll add this to my next update to RFB1.swf as an option...

Runs really smooth here too, but it seems to hit a wall after x amount of skins are open, it's like rr stops responding to commands, cpu may be at 60%, so it seems some other resource ( handles , #files opened) gets maxed out, but it could be cpu, I don't know....

hmm, cpu doesn't seem to old or slow, I've got a 2xcore amd be2350, when I first load the skin i get about 2% on idle...
I've got 2GB ram, on first load rr uses about 64MB for me...
what do you get?
