RR get's this data from your GPS unit. What GPS unit are you using?
Hi,
I am using the GPSSPD label on the skin I use. After starting RR the label is 0 km/h, the speed raises as it should when starting to drive but when stopping the vehicle the label won´t go down to 0 km/h it stays at ~7km/h. Is there any way to set the label to 0 when the car is not moving? Also after resuming from hibernation the label is ~7km/h.

I am using a Navibe GM720 USB unit. I have got the latest driver from Profilic installed (PL-2303)
I have same Navibe unit, it work fine with iGO8 but if I use Xport com splitter GPSSPD go crazy, speed jump to 6774km/h and back to normal.
Otherwise the speed in the GPSSPD label is ok but when stopping the vehicle it doesn´t go to 0.
MOre than likely a gps thing. If you get constantly changing coordinates then your speed is going to differ. THis happens because most of these gps units arent pinpoint accurate and even staying in one place may cause your coordinates to change slightly.
This is how your GPS device determines speed by changing coordinates. So if your speed is constantly flucuating when stopped, your GPS unit is probably no good (JUNK). It is normal to not allways return to zero, you may return to zero and hover about 1 or 2 MPH. anything higher though and I would say your reciever is not doing it's job correctly. I have had a few different GPS units and all of them has showed the same speed thing. All the units has had SIRF III chip in, which is said to be the "best".
