Actually I have considered foobar as an option for a very long time, but it lacked a stable/reliable interface for higher-end languages, so it was just not worth the effort before. Having said that, I've just looked at the latest stable version and their new COM server version seems to work really well from VB6 -- which means it should not take much effort to make foobar as an available player for RR now.

EDIT: It took quite some effort, but it's done and it seems to be working very well.

Just updated to this release of RR and now when i open it it takes the volume to 50% and its locked there... If i set it to 100% in my windows volume control and open RR it goes to 60% for a second then to 50%. Once opened i can minimize and adjust the volume in Volume Control again. As soon as i restore RR it snaps the volume back to 50%.

I tried renaming the RR folder then doing a fresh install again and still the same issue.

    Any ideas anyone?

Oh yea, and I'm using the BMV2 skin.

bratnetwork, how about some information in your post

    what OS?
this release means RR 5/1/2009 right?

could post a debug.txt too.. that would tell us alot initially about your setup

first i would turn off fadevolume, fadeinvolume=false in rr.ini
turn off fadeinvolume=false in rr.ini and see how it goes
    -Thanks

I dropped the (image in) custom lists example files in a test skin - now what? Do i just call those individual .skins with a button command? or are they supposed to work toguether somehow?

They're individual examples of different types of custom lists. You can make a button like "LOAD;cl.skin" then just rename the .skin files to cl.skin one at a time to try each. Just remember to extract ALL image files within the skin folder as well. Also, take some time to read skin commands in regards to the custom list definitions.

Just installed. Works great and it even uses less CPU for some reason. I actually get into the 20%'s running DFX4.
