This is a nice tool, thanks sicarios! This should allow anyone to use the RUN command to switch the audio device to use before starting/stopping any specific functions in the software.

Ok this seems it might work BUT I am not able to get it to do what I want
I am using Garmin Mobile PC as my satnav. How can I, using the existing plugin system for GMPC in carwings run the script shortcut made by the quick switcher program inside road runner, so that RR is using one sound card and GMPC is using another

You will likely need to make a .bat file to run the switcher right before starting RR (so it sets the default sound card for RR), then another .bat file to run the switched right before loading the GMPC (so it sets the default sound card for GMPC). Once they're loaded, they should keep using the default sound card when each was started, regardless of any changes you make afterward.
