now now guys , admit you had no idea , granted , its not something i openly display, and to some people its not something to worry about (ie whats all the fuss over), the help file will be nothing like my posts , at the end of the day it is just that a quick post.

but enough said , this thread is not about bad spell and all that its about giving all you guys a good full help file, 1 that new and old Ride runner users can use,

let me suggest another way if people are so worried about this, you guys pick a subject ,write it up, send it over and i'll merge it into the software. to which is another
floor in getting things done , out every software i have used for RR , just like many others out there you have to learn the software that you use, to produce the final product. so i'm in a big learning curve at the moment.

RR help is just 1 of the many things i am doing , i do alot of testing for some PI authors out there, makeing a skin for all you guys to use , help old and new guys on here or even IM, with problems and even suss out code for them to put thier ideas into reality.

anyway please guys back on topic , all i ask is to be patient,

Grammar and punctuation is the least of our worries. Content is first and most important. We can polish it up later.

I'm taking English 101 right now in college and, although grammar and punctuation is important, we should focus on the subject first. I'm sure we'll all be able to proof read it and give our corrections later.

Thanks carputer1 for doing this! I sure would like to see something more updated.

I think I have a good idea that would help everyone, something I was looking for, as I just installed my first front end last week, a "map" of sorts, or a hierarchy type flow chart, that shows how everything relates to another. Like a directory structure of the front end, plugins, etc.... I don't know the coding language, but I do know HTML pretty extensively which has helped, but trying to figure out where a particular skin is pulling it's info from, or what files go where, has been really confusing for me... Some I find in the RR installation itself, others in a subdirectory of the particular skin, and then I even see the same info in more then one file sometimes. Frustrating-as I know I can do this! Thank God for the installer and the amount of info I found for the DigitalFX skin, or I'd be running Centrafuse!
I just installed GIMP 2 days ago and have already figured out how to make a spinning logo, so I'm making progress and next step will be trying a plugin like Enforcers traffic cams and then gonna try and add a James Bond type skin with do nothing buttons like "seat eject" Most of the tutorials I have found assume you know a certain degree of how everything is put together, that first bit of info is proving to be my biggest obstacle, so just a lot of trial and error.... Anyway, I have plenty of time on my hands if you need any help putting this together.

I'm glad I stumbled on this thread. I'm a newbie and playng with RR. My first and biggest observation was the lack of documentation and the amount of time I'm spending searching through hundreds of posts. Then when I find something it may or may not be applicabl any more because many of the posts are years old. I actually planned on putting together a guide as I went along and figured things out, but I'd much rather have yours. If it's not done I will be most eager to help. I write a lot of technical documentation in my line of work (IT Director) and am offering my services. RR is an amazingly flexible tool and could really be taken to the next level with some proper documentation.

I personally feel that the documentation should be covering Only RR and getting the basics set up and working.
I agree, the author of the skin should be the one writing the help files or readme files for that skin. It should be complete enough to enable the user to figure it out along with some RR documentation.
