    Hello mitchjs.
Tonight I tryed RR with the new radio control. You have done a good job.
Now the RDS function of Silabs works well, I can display all the RDS information: PTY, TP etc.. Without the new version only RDSTEXT and RDSNAME worked.

I have a suggestion to resolve the audio problem of Silabs.
You know that it works only in the front channel. But if I capture audio with Line_In plugin of Winamp, I can manage audio on all the channel and also I can use AVS and equalizer on it. The only problem is that RR also streams the audio in the meanwhile and I cannot disable it. So I have a kind of echoes due to the double streaming (RR + WA). Can you add an option to disable the audio via RR for the Silabs? For example if I select the flag "use Line in" in the setup, RR can disable the internal audio management for the radio.

johnny, exactly what i was thinking to disable the audio capture
    yes! i can do it

also there is another option, there are opther usbradio.dlls one that uses filter graphs...
if u switch to that, it might capture to all other channels, it might not, it might just be a issue with your sound card... and the disable audio is best option
PLEASE PM we, lets work together on this

    mitch
    -Thanks

Today I modified my skin with the new command and all seems to be ok with Silabs.
The only command that doesn't work is "mono". The audio remain stereo and the stereo indicator remain on.

About the audio i PM you.

there is no such command as "mono" on the silabs (at least known to the dll)
and i cant see any reason to use it, if the station is so weak u cant get stereo... listen to another station
    -Thanks

    hi mitchjs!
i have all the 3 version of usbradio.dll source code, using direct sound - using stream sound - using fmod sound (stereo or quad version, i make new volume commands for each speaker and main radio volume)
in my silabs external plugin + usbradio.dll i have all the function you need it (radioart using PI, TA News function, AF function ecc.)
plus all the RDS EON features

i will start the new version of plugin+dll next week, but if you want i can give an help hand for your project

(if you don't know it, this is my plugin/dll)

there is no such command as "mono" on the silabs (at least known to the dll)

    i made it
i use the mute or vol- to decrease the radio sound if the gps "speak" or the phone is ringing
in italy we use sygic drive software as gps, my friend made a dll that send a message to my plugin on the gps "speak"
for the phone the project of another friends is incomplete

this is an old video example (the music is ugly but the sound of the silabs decrease on gps "speak")

(the gps simulation track is setup in hi speed)

the streaming echo is the gap between rr stream and winamp stream, ~1,5 sec.
it's the stream buffer of winamp that make this
if you are using only winamp stream and change the frequence you will hear the frequence change after ~1.5 second (the lenght of winamp stream buffer)
the streming will be better to be placed inside rr not inside winamp or player that use a long stream buffer

    (sorry for my english)

spidemunz, at this point everything is working good... i havent implented any EON, since its not even used here, and is way beyond the scope of radio control
the current radio module, does artwork, does ta, tp indicators, i might add a ONTAEvent
but im not 100% sure how that all works, since TA isnt used here too...
i have never heard a traffic announcement, not that i listen to RDS FM anymore... we hd radio now

i have made a NO audio version of the usbradio.dll too, if someone wants to use the winamp line in plugin... if someone wants to use the direct show version, they can too
radio mute is supported, if one wants to use it for gps speak...

it might be best if there is anything to add, we add it to the radio module

review what is currently done, look at the new radio commands.txt
and i bet they could fit ur skin in a few mins
    -Thanks

Spidermunz, I suggest some solutions (referring to no-audio dll):

With Jasper linein plugin the buffer size could be reduced.

i use the mute or vol- to decrease the radio sound if the gps "speak" or the phone is ringing
Reduce the Winamp Volume and the mp3 or radio volume is always lowest than gps volume. Is not necessary to completely mute the player.

ok try this usbradio using jasper, is back compatible with old rr usbradio
it hasn't sound, it use only stereo stream, it has eon feature (the extension feature reguarding plugin+dll depends by my vb6 extension plugin)
(is smaller then original usbradio because is compiled using the last versione of visual studio )
