Any idea what the core problem was? My tuner is under the front passenger seat of my 4-door crew-cab pickup, the monitor is in the dash, and the computer is behind the rear passenger-side seat. PLENTY of space between all these components. I got great reception when the computer was not installed in the truck (using the Visteon control module to play the radio). But the reception went completely to crap when I installed the computer. I thought at first that it might be Mitch's cable or the serial-USB adapter, but the reception is no better if I unplug those and plug the Visteon controller back in. Something in the computer seems to be creating some kind of interference. I just haven't figured out how to isolate or shield it.

    Thanks...

mstaedt, remove the computer, and the reception will be fine
    or one of its components

clearly, something you got in the car, is NOT designed to be in a car.. infact the FCC might not like it all at!

i would disconnect... 1 thing at a time... some device is BLASTING out RFI
and prob alot of it, prob a poorly designed power supply
good luck, it can be a ***** to figure it out...
i had a BLADE audio amp trashing my AM, i pulled it for a MTX amp, and all is well!
    -Thanks

OK, im done coding for a little bit...

    ON my FTP is latest...

I have completed, HDRadio, Silabs, HQCT, Blaupunkt

the HQCT is very dissappointing... feel bad for those using it... hopefully some things will fall into place to make it better....

the blaupunkt is untested, but its almost identical to the HQCT, limited control
    -Thanks

I've got both here somewhere, i wouldn't called them actively in use, i can test for you though just as soon as i dig them out.

Aha, found the dlink, can't find the wintv though.

I've got a WinTV laying around but loading its drivers is a pain in the ***.

OBTW, can I get a label for signal strength on the SILABs: "RDSSIGNAL"?

I am using Terratec Cinergy Piranha USB DVB-T TV And DAB Radio Tuner from play.com and installed a Herschman DAB car aerial. Using the application that came with the Terratec gave excellent DAB quality but I have no idea how to integrate it into riderunner interface? So this project get the thumbs up

I just realized that RRNEXT/RRPREV, NEXT/PREV are coded differently from the way radio previously worked. NEXT/PREV should always be tied to the onscreen playlist/dirlist/customlist/etc. NEXT should tell RR go to the next item on the list. There are other commands to increase and decrease the Freq/Finetune, but tying NEXT/PREV to them leaves no way to manipulate the list.
