    Using a Slider behind a Scrolling Label?

    Hi,

    is it possible, to use a Slider (SONGPOS) behind a scrolling Label? Behind a static Label works fine, but behind a scrolling would be finer...

    One Way for me, i could use the "SCROLL-ONCE" from RR 7.1.09 - During the scroll it shows only the Label and after that it show the Slider behind, like a static Label...
    Is this possible?

    With already released versions this will not work because of the way the scrolling label works -- it grabs the image of where it is positioned when it loads, and uses that image from then on. But I just had an idea here that I want to try before I say it can't be done (for future versions)..

    Ok, I tried my idea and it worked really well, so on next release Scroll labels will work over Buttons, Indicators and Sliders -- even made the scroll labels use a little bit less memory

    Guino... can this be done as well?

    Hey Guino, can this new "idea" be used to show an indicator or image inside a button area as well? I know a blinking indicator will work, but I also have indicators that are images that will not show up within a button area. Such as the icons on the dfx main menu for instance.

    Hey g, since you're looking at labels , any chance you can me them blink?

    Kinda like indicator images w/ the ":B" on it, but for labels?

    i.e.
    L,...,"BYIND;SHUFFLE;<<=SHUFFLE","LEFT:B"

    You want an indicator/image to show "Overlayed" on the button right ? to where it shows the image on top of the button regardless of the ON/OFF/DOWN effects modifying the button ? I don't think the same principle applies (because there's no "object" for indicators), but I don't see why we couldn't take care of it one way or another..

    @JohnWPB: would it be enough to have an Indicator "Modifier" (like the :A one -- maybe a :O) so that the indicator is "Overlayed" on top of everything else on the skin ?

    I'm just analyzing the options right now.

    That sounds like it would might be a plan... and man is it about time to have this actuall added. I tried on several occasions to do it but all the imagery was making my head spin just a bit.

    I just improved support for indicators over buttons (and even sliders), I remember this would have been a pain in the arse with the old sources, but now that the code is a lot more organized it was actually not too bad to make it work, so John you can try it out to see how it works for you (If you do it before the release, I can probably fix/tweak it more if needed).
