    RR, Volumouse, Kx drivers

    Hey guys, got another one for you. I am trying to use volumouse to control the volume of RR. Through RR to control winamp, VLC, etc.

    I am using the rotary encoder off a mouse, it controls the master volume fine. Actually it controls now the "master mixer" volume which replaces the master volume I believe as a result of running the kx drivers.

    Now in RR, the + and - control the volume fine. However, the master mixer volume does nothing to Winamp or RR volume.

    I have tried in RR config setting the control to "all lines" and "master volume"

    Anyone know how to integrate these 3 different programs?

    I think the KX drivers make multiple "virtual" sound cards, is this right ? if so, RR can only control ONE sound card at a time, and that would mean just whatever audio line(s) made available by the kx driver. In any case, you should post your OS (as Vista and up are TOTALLY DIFFERENT than XP and earlier), and a sample debug log which lists the information of your sound card. I assume you're using the 08/2009 or 09/2009 release?

    Thanks for the help guys, it is much appreciated - sorry I am missing information.

    OS= WinXP SP2
    Kx driver with Audigy 2ZX PCI sound card - Model SB0243
    RR from 8/19/09
    Skin - Digital FX 4.0 (Amazing BTW)

    As far as I know, the kx drivers only simulate 1 sound card - but totally new to them so could be very wrong.

    I am checking on the kx project forums as well, will report back anything I find.

    thanks.

    RR reads the default/master volume control from the windows mixer and if you change it in windows (or from another application) RR should reflect the changes on the skin. Similarly, if you change the default/master volume control in RR, the volume in the windows mixer (and in other applications) should also adjust accordingly. If this isn't happening, then it's likely a driver issue/limitation (assuming mastervolmap=0 -- otherwise the selected audio line is monitored/changed when reading/adjusting the volume).

    I know it's old but I too am using KX Drivers, WIN XP pro, and RR... I have Master Volume mapped. I use steering wheel controls. I just let the master control everything. I havent been able to get RR volume to work seperately if that is what you are saying. Like default RR volume stepping is now overridden by the KX master steps.
